Anyway... so, expecting the turnout of overly-fanatic people with their far-out costumes that showed up at the midnight premiere to be at the 8:40pm premiere as well, I dress up. I do the Amidala leather corset costume because that is the only costume that has any resemblence to the way I dress in real life. And, because Peter and Andy do not come home from work until around 7pm, Darryl and I grab our lightsabers at around 5 o'clock and go.

LUCKY. If we had been even 20 minutes passed 5:30, we would have been halfway down the line. Our 20 minute lead saw us at a quarter of the line, closer to the front than the back. The 8pm showing was already around the block by then.
