Free Day Hours + Productive Summer = Better Employee
I even said no to the promotional jobs because of this new schedule. Of course, I have a feeling it was a ploy from Bryan to get me to stay, but if so then he's a smart one- cuz it worked!
So, during lunch hours (since nobody is there to see us be silly) Luis and I have taken to playing around with my camera.

Don't worry Bryan- we're just playing!

The music wall.

Working hard...

Heather even joined us! (NO- she doesn't dress like that everyday... she had a thing to go to and was just stopping by).
But it's not always all fun at work. Friday night we had an issue with an E! News Weekend show and I had to stay until 4 in the morning to fix it. AND I found out from Luis later on that I didn't even fix it correctly and he got calls until 8am to do more. :(
Luis's car also ran out of batteries so I had to jump start it. At 4 in the morning. In 60 degree weather.

Luis and my jumper cables getting to know each other.
But all that is worth it considering the work I'm getting done during the day. I had the time last week to design the flyers, programs, posters, and billboards for Miska & Luis' One Person Shows. Regularly I would wake up, go to work, come home and sleep... but now with these new hours I'm like some creative machine!

Me and the Billboard I designed. THOUSANDS of people see these billboards EVERYDAY!
I put so much energy into the designs I did that Miska & Luis' publicist Cheryl said she would distribute my business card to all of her contacts... she said I had "great quality work and could make a pretty penny on the side" doing this. That really got me syked, because Cheryl has been a publicist in LA for like 20-30 years and if SHE likes my stuff than that MUST mean it's good.
'Greetings from Cloud 9' opened this Sunday. What it is is Miska & Luis' One Person Shows combined with a common central theme (the American Dream). I'm like Miska & Luis' PA... I'm the box office girl, then the theater usher, then I go on stage and do the intros, the intermission entertainment, and the finale. They've been working REALLY hard on getting this together, so we were all pretty excited Sunday, and the tension was a little high.
I can't show you any pics JUST YET of the show because I don't have the rights, but I snuck in a couple:

Miska backstage doing the lights.

Wined & Dined for the celebration reception.

Everybody. (God I'm short.)
And afterwards, since we didn't have any time before, we put up the billboards.

And the big finale:

Isn't that cool?
As a celebration Miska and I spent the night at the Tonga Hut tiki bar on Victory. It's a cool place. We had our drinks paid for 3 TIMES by 3 seperate people! And I met a Filipino who was just about to make his 3rd trip THIS YEAR back to the Philippines. And another guy who, while he was in the service, traveled to every continent in the world. It really reminded me about my desire to travel. If I could, my dream would be to stop working and just live my life traveling the world.
Random Thoughts:
-My cat is cute. She never goes more than 10 feet away from me at all times. She's actually sitting behind me right now just staring at me.
-My fear of failure is the ultimate writers block.
-I could work nights forever.
-I can't not eat chocolate at least once a day.
-Harry Potter rocks.
-Peter has the weirdest toys.
